Education
AREA Supports Education in Several Ways
AREA provides educators and students an opportunity to network with their peers from around the world. Our focus is higher education in arboriculture and urban forestry, but we welcome anyone with an interest in teaching and learning about trees.
We support arboriculture and urban forestry education by:
Publishing a quarterly newsletter with articles about educational events, professional development, and announcements about scholarships, fellowships, and higher education job openings.
Awarding grants for students to attend the ISA Annual Conference and Trade Show and present their research.
Supporting workshops, symposia, and conference sessions that advance knowledge about trees and urban forests.
Advocating for the interests of educators and students in arboriculture and urban forestry.
Your membership in AREA gives arboriculture and urban forestry education a voice and provides critical funds to invest in our activities and initiatives. Join AREA today and advance your educational and professional aspirations.
